How this space came to be
Belong was created from nearly two decades of exploring what it truly means to find home — not just in a place, but in people, and most importantly, in yourself.
Since 2002, I’ve lived in Colorado, Oregon, California, and eventually returned to my home state of Wisconsin. Along the way, I’ve met remarkable people — students, clients, fellow travelers, and kind strangers who became friends. Each connection offered a deeper lesson about belonging: how we all carry stories, how those stories shape us, and how they quietly weave us together.
Through years of movement, change, and growth, one truth became clear:
Belonging isn’t something we stumble upon.
It’s something we create.
It’s built through presence, openness, and the courage to show up as we are — with ourselves and with one another.
